July 8, 2008

A talk with Mr. Anil Sethi, a well-known Professor of History at the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) in New Delhi, was held at Sanjannagar Institute on Oct 12, 2007. The talk focused on the need for new ways of approaching the teaching and content of South Asian history, the work which NCERT is already doing in this regard in terms of writing new text books with new content and ways of presenting it and what it was planning to do in the near future, i.e., create a supplementary reader in South Asian history for the age-group of 16 to 19 through joint effort with Pakistan and Bangladesh.
